Jessica Flint is a British designer and illustrator from London. She creates unique hand drawn, hand painted and illustrated products ranging from pillowcases to makeup bags. Jessica goes by the motto ‘Life in colour’ and this is definitely portrayed in her work.
Up until now, the prime focus has always been on accessories and gifts. Jessica and her team have been working hard to produce the next collection… clothing. On Thursday 1st February, I travelled to Blackheath, London, to shoot the brands latest project.
Jessica herself was unable to make the shoot, she was heavily pregnant and was on the brink of popping out a baby! (Congrats Jessica!!) Instead, her business partner Alice was there to supervise the day. I arrived at Morden College bright and early to get started, the collection was huge so we knew there was a lot to get through.
I started with the makeup, Jessica wanted quite a natural look for the model. A super soft smoky eye, natural fluffy brows with a slightly dark nude lip, keeping the skin fresh. For the hair, we went for loose curls. She had long, thick dark hair, which was LOVELY but did prove to be a bit of a challenge with the time I had.
Unfortunately I was unable to stay for the duration of the shoot as I had to get back for a job later that day. It was a shame because I always like to stick around so I can make sure everything goes to plan and I love watching from the side-lines, I think this has made me even more excited to see the final photographs.
